It was a great afternoon at the Broadbeach Jazz and Food Festival on August 21. The organisers has pulled off an amazing lineup, including Kate Ceberano as the headline act, and we couldn’t have wished for a more perfect late winter aftenoon of Gold Coast sun for our hour long on the Broadbeach Mall www. With a great band behind me (Tnee – piano, Jeremy O’Connor – double bass, Dave Sanders – drums), a couple of excitable horn players (Malcolm Wood – trumpet, Brodie McAllister – trombone) beside me and a very active in utero dancer, the gig was a wonderful success.
